But as Dr. Samuels frequently says, “While surgery is the gold standard, even surgery has its limitations, so we need smart devices to do certain things.” Devices have advanced to the point that some are serving as surgical alternatives, they can be used during weight loss to combat muscle wasting and loose skin (See our Blog entry), and devices can also add to a surgical result (as in the case of muscle strengthening after a tummy tuck or skin tightening after liposuction).

Furthermore, it is well-known that while we believe we offer the best devices that deliver optimal results in the fewest treatments, all nonsurgical body contouring options do require maintenance due to the continued aging process. Results of additional packages are however definitely additive, as our patients will testify, so repeat treatment packages not only enhance your results, but they also work to maintain them. Therefore, to achieve and maintain optimal results, you should plan on some annual maintenance being necessary. Many of our treatments have been proven to equate to weeks in the gym working out…so, just like in the gym, body contouring device results eventually disappear if you don’t maintain them.
